We know our team is our greatest asset and the foundation of our success. We are committed to making your life better and, as part of that effort, we look forward to rolling out benefits for 2020 and introducing you to an even higher quality program.

Despite the trend for 2020 being an 8% increase in coverage cost, OC team members will experience no increase in the cost of their medical benefits and even a slight decrease in the cost for other benefits. OC’s new partnership with iBenefit Communication will also provide open enrollment support for all benefits-eligible team members. Through this partnership, benefit counselors will be available to speak one-on-one in person with team members to answer questions, assist with benefit decisions and enroll each team member in their benefit plans.

This year, open enrollment will be October 21 – November 1 for benefits effective January 1, 2020. Action is required during this timeframe by ALL team members to elect or waive benefits for 2020. If no action is taken by a team member, “no coverage” will be the default and no benefits will be received for 2020.

You will continue to see information about open enrollment in upcoming huddles and email communications including your opportunity to sign up for an appointment with a benefits counselor beginning Monday, October 7. Below you will find additional resources about your 2020 benefits.

You have two options to speak to a benefits counselor about 2020 benefits and obtain assistance with your enrollment:

1. Meet individually, onsite at designated OrthoCarolina locations. 

To schedule an appointment with a benefit counselor:

Step 3. Provide your first and last name, phone number, and email address

Step 4. Finalize your appointment

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time to ensure you can start on time and get the most out of your session.

2. Speak with a counselor over the phone

From October 21 through November 1 you can speak with a benefit counselor over the phone, weekdays from 7 AM – 4:30 PM EST at 1.844.854.2169.
